We started at 4 months on the recommendation from our pediatrician. We did oatmeal cereal mixed very thin with breast milk and spoon fed. It’s super messy because it’s really runny but it helped him learn to eat from a spoon. We have done some single vegetable purées as well. We don’t do solids every day because we don’t want to overload his system. Ask your pediatrician if they think your little one is ready for solids. Usually they have a set of criteria that babies need to meet.

4.5 months on purees with our pediatrician's approval. I started with regular food around 6.5 months.

I started at 4-5 months ONLY because my son was cleared by his pediatrician. Otherwise I would have waited the 6 months. But we just straight into purees then once I realized he was doing great with that and wanted more by 6 months we were on soft solid foods

6 months. We give her real food and let her eat off our plate. She does get pureed food if we are eating something she cant have, like hard food. We thicken it with potato flakes as she diesnt like the watery texture, unless it's applesauce. 
Cereal isnt really good for baby and they dont actually need a puree stage (although baby food makers love to say otherwise!).

But ever since i seen that most baby foods contain high levels of mercury, lean, etc, i make my own baby food. 😋
