To buy or not to buy?

Im thinking about buying that $79 crib from Ikea. This is what it looks like.

I’m trying to save money every way I can and this is a fantastic price you can’t deny. Most of the reviews are good. There are some bad, but that comes with most products. I have a crib picked out that similar that’s $200 and that one is convertible so it grows with the child while this one doesn’t. Even though I’d be saving money now I’d still have to buy another bed in the future? Do you guys think it would be worth it or should I consider the $200 crib? Do any of you have this crib?

Just so you know, you can take the one side off this one to make a toddler bed. I don’t think it shows the conversion photo on the website, but if you read the description it does come with the piece to convert it.

I have the Gulliver crib from Ikea (the next step up) I think it was $99. I’ve only used it as a crib, never converted it because my boys are only 18 months apart, but as a crib I’ve been very happy with it. Between my 2 kids now we’ve been using it the past 2.5 years.

I have this crib and love it so much we’re getting a second one for baby #2! It does covert into a toddler bed so at least you can skip that step. And depending on the space of your kids (if you end up having more) it could save you from having to get another crib if you’re able to move baby #1 to a cheap twin bed and let #2 use this one. 
One other huge plus about this one is it’s one of the most non-toxic cribs on the market.

I’d get a cheaper one from walmart, and I’d skip the convertible. We never used it outside of a crib.

You can find good priced convertible cribs at Walmart! Also you could by second hand. There’s many that are inexpensive that look brand new

We’ve had this IKEA crib for 3 years & love it! I need to convert it to a toddler bed just too lazy...lol.

We have this. Ours was unfinished so we sanded and used a baby safe furniture oil to finish it. I've been very happy with it. My daughter is in it for now with the side off and a Munchkin bed rail so she gets used to a big girl bed until #2 will use it in a few months. I would buy it again.

Girl, buy second hand and refinish it if you'd like. No need to spend so much on kids right now. Put the money into savings for when they're older. I regret spending so much on my first born! If I had known what I know now, I would have purchased all second hand for a fraction of the price. The things I purchase are all in perfect new condition!

I say buy!! We have one for our daughter. We plan to use it for years to come, and EVEN if you have to replace it in a few years, its still cheaper than buying 1 from another store. Plus non toxic and its really cute.

I love this crib, my parents have it at their house as an extra for when the grandkids are there. I also have an Ikea crib and really like it.
