Pain , tightness in chest!!

Went to the ER yesterday because I had intense pain and tightness in my left chest. It subsided after about 30 minutes but I wanted to get checked out anyways. I was just sitting in my favorite clas so I'm not sure why it happened but the dr basically said it was probably inflammation and the pain was getting transferred there. EKG and ultrasound showed my heart was fine. I was wondering if anyone else had every experienced this? It sounds like an anxiety attack but none of the doctors even mentioned that! Any help would be great!
