I don’t really think it’s necessary. My partner and I aren’t rh compatible and all that it means is that when I’m pregnant with our kids I get a shot one time during the pregnancy and then one after birth if our child is born with his blood type. It’s the easiest shot ever though, hurts less than getting the flu shot so I don’t find it a big deal. I think complications from it are pretty rare as long as you get the shot if it’s needed.

Nope because rh compatibility wasn’t going to affect our decision to have children.  He did get tested once I conceived so I knew I would need rhogam.  He’s positive I’m negative.  Our baby is negative so it was no worries.

I am rh negative and my SO is positive. I’ve just always received rogham injections. My daughter is also negative so no shot after birth this time. Both my sons are positive though.

No but it helps to know his blood type. I'm rh- and my husbands blood is positive. The shot isnt even that bad just a little shot in the bum during pregnancy and one after. Luckily our daughter has positive like her daddy.

No. I've always known my husband was positive because he is a donor but never knew mine as I didnt meet the weight requirement to donate and never had a reason to know my blood type. Found out after I got pregnant I'm positive too.
