The ER could have messed up?

Question

I went in the other night for pain in my right ovary area. I got an ultrasound and they saw something but not enough to tell, so they ordered a CT with contrast. Now mind you by this point I had urine analysis and blood work done. They came back and said it looked like a cyst that burst and it will probably just hurt for a while, prescribed me naproxen and sent me home. They emailed me a link to view all my records and the tests they ran, and I noticed not a single pregnancy test was taken from urine or blood. Now I may be over reacting but you'd think they would right? To rule out an ectopic? Cause I've had a ruptured cyst before and it did not hurt like this. Like this was intense pain, and it still hurts now with me on naproxen every 4 hours alternating Tylenol I have at home. And my scans aren't up, they say pending. They kept asking me if I injured it during "physical activity" I think they were implying sex. I know we aren't doctors but does this sound worisome?  Should I go to a gyno and demand more answers?

They run blood pregnancy tests in the ER on any women it’s standard. They pick and choose when gets released online for you too see. That and drugs screen usually aren’t released for an ER visit. They would have seen an ectopic pregnancy on an ultrasound. If you’re convinced you’re pregnant take a pregnancy test and there’s your answer.

No it doesn’t sound worrisome at all. If it were an ectopic pregnancy they would have seen it. They would have also checked for pregnancy when they did your blood and urine. 
I work in the ER. 
Also, pain changes. Sometimes it’s not going to be the same pain you had last time. It has the potential to get worse. 
You can take a pregnancy test if you want. You can also go to your OBGYN. But they wouldn’t have missed an ectopic pregnancy.

Like others have said, it doesn’t sound like they found anything. I’ve had many cysts burst in my life, and the pain varies in type, severity and duration. One I had, the pain lasted about two weeks. 
You can get a second opinion from your OB, though.

Pregnancy tests are usually standard in the ER for girls/women ages 12-65..

I'm in kind of the same position. Thought for sure I had appendicitis but it was a ruptured ovarian cyst. I am going to my gyno for follow up because of other results, but I know I'm not pregnant. I know they checked for pregnancy before my CT scan. If you have any worry, definitely follow up with your doctor. I think it would be very unlikely that they did not rule out pregnancy before doing any imaging tests.

Yea, they should’ve ran a pregnancy test... any women of childbearing age gets one with abdominal pain. I would follow up with your OB or family doctor either way. Honestly second opinions never hurt.
