Kind of a stretch but is anyone on here ex-Amish or menonite?

I’ve heard that Amish /Mennonite women don’t slow down when pregnant and thus have faster easier births I just wanted to see if anyone could speak from experience (Amish vs English)

I was watching something with Ina May Gaskin and she said when Amish women go into labor they start making bread for the family. It helps them pass the time and keeps them on their feet and moving which speeds up labor.

I’m not either BUT I have read that they don’t even acknowledge the pregnancies. There’s no talk about it and they carry on like normal. They may go to a midwife (not sure about that part) but as far as living day to day they don’t act pregnant.

I’m not Amish or Mennonite, but I’m sure there is truth to that. It’s beneficial to be active & workout before, during, & after (when cleared) birth. Being “fit” is going to make your birthing & healing experience much smoother.

It’s common knowledge that the better shape your in the easier ur birth will likely be. Obviously that doesn’t apply every single time but generally it’s going to be true.
