Okay, so as written above, my MIL and SIL won’t let me or anyone else help with my baby shower. I’m stuck because I didn’t even tell them they could plan it, they nominated themselves. There’s a lot of things I’m frustrated about and I need opinions.

2. They won’t let me help at ALL. They said it’s supposed to be a surprise and I’m supposed to just kick my feet back and enjoy. But I HATE doing that. They made me do the same shit for my wedding and nothing was done. I had to do everything last minute on my wedding day.

3. My best friend who I actually wanted to plan it has been ignored and was basically told that her assistance wasn’t needed. They’re offended because they think I’m doubting their abilities. (Which I am considering my wedding)

4. This is my FIRST baby and I REALLY wanted to do this and or be involved.

5. If my mom found out that my MIL was planning and she isn’t, she’d be furious.

6. My SIL falls through on everything, even more so since she JUST moved out. She doesn’t have the expenses to take care of all of this by herself and I don’t want to fund anything I can’t freaking see.

So ladies.... what do I do? I don’t wanna tell them to back off and cause a family feud but I’m seriously uncomfortable. Am I being too anxious? Should I back off and just let it happen?
