Daycare Toddler constantly sick - Normal or no?

Hey everyone,
So my toddler started daycare in August and since September he has been almost constantly sick. The pediatrician keeps saying it's just viral infections piggybacking each other. I just wanted to know how common this actually was. He didn't seem concerned but it's difficult seeing your kid constantly sick and not themselves. 
When your LO started daycare did this happen to them too?
If yes, how many months did this go on for? I'm sure there needs to be an end to this madness soon!

Yes, unfortunately it's normal. 
My kids constantly stayed sick until the reached 1st grade. They caught literally every thing.

Very normal...it sucks . But now after attending for two years I feel like my son is building a better immunity to it and isn't getting sick half as much as of lately

I work in a daycare (preschool teacher) but as toddlers they don’t really know to cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze... so even as much as we try with sanitizing everything constantly & cleaning stuff... kids sneeze & cough anywhere & everywhere. It is completely normal.. I myself have gotten sick more now working this job then any other job. & my preschoolers are constantly with runny noses or coughs. I’d say don’t worry to much about it!

When my son was in the infant room, he dis ok. When we went up to the toddler room, he had a cold basically all winter. Now that he's 3, he does ok. He's only had one cold so far this winter.  Our pediatrician said he would be sick as a small child but be the healthiest when he reaches school because he would have already caught all the colds.
Sorry- daycare is a cesspool of germs and babies/toddlers share everything.

Unfortunately it’s normal. Daycares (and toddlers in general) are pretty much little Petri dishes

He’s been going to daycare for 3 years. He is rarely sick. He didn’t catch everything at daycare either. He’s only been sick 4 times this year and that’s it, 2 from daycare.
But it’s normal. Some kids get sick and some don’t. Hope your child feels better
