Would dating him be worth it?

So I met a guy at the club and he’s really funny and responsible and seems like a great match. The problem is he works a lot and has many responsibilities that don’t give him much free time and I also live about 2.5 hours away from him. But I want to date him and get to know him, but I’m also scared that if we start dating and I start to get to know him more and really fall for him only to realize that it won’t workout becuase I’m far and he’s busy, that I’ll end up heartbroken. I don’t know if I should take that risk or not. Please help!!
