Birthday/MIL trouble

Am I overreacting? Baby girls FIRST birthday is coming up February 1st! And I’ve been planning since she was about 6 months old 😂!! I have decorations and a cake idea and how I want her highchair to be decorated and what foods I want to serve. And I’m so excited!

Well two weeks before my daughter’s birthday we are going away with his family (Mom, Dad, Brother, Sisters-in-law and their kids, and Grandfather). And my mil suggested we just celebrate her birthday with them then and then I can have my family over on her birthday (I don’t have a huge family-just my parents sister and one set of grandparents would be there). And our family’s get along just fine.

So I feel weird about it...like it’s her first birthday! I don’t want to “just celebrate it then” like it’s an afterthought...they only live 45 mins away so it’s not a huge burden to come to my house. I don’t know maybe I’m overthinking it but I feel like it would take away the specialness of her birthday-I’m also 7 months pregnant and extremely hormonal so call me out if I’m being crazy
