Tattoo fading and peeling? Help?

I just got my first tattoo! My horoscope!! My friend and I got them together and at first mine looked amazing.,.very bold and perfect but when I took the wrap off as the lady said and I followed cleaning instructions/moisturized and it started to peel horribly. Now it looks dry and faded. I don’t get it because my friends tattoo looks bold still and I don’t understand why mine looks hazy?? Is this normal?? Someone please help :)

This is before

Today. As you can see it’s peeling and some lines are faded.

UPDATE

my tattoo is starting to darken Which is great. A few lines still need to be touched up but I think it was more faded due to to the healing

Tattoos will peel after first getting them. This is your skin healing. They’ll fade a little in the process. If parts of the line disappear completely then the artist probably didn’t go deep enough with the ink. You also have to take care of your skin, like moisturizing. Dry skin will make tattoos fade more.

My favorite product to help moisturize my tattoos is Lubriderm Tattoo Daily Care for before, during, and after care. I have tried a few different products to help but they didn’t do the job well until now. If you are going to be exposed to sun for long periods of time, use sunscreen religiously to keep them looking fresh after they are healed up. I usually wait about three weeks to use sunscreen after getting a tattoo.

Could just be that your skin didn’t hold the ink very well or that the artist didn’t go deep enough. I’d call and have them go over it again

To me, it looks like the artisit didnt apply enough ink or go in your skin deep enough. You should go back and have them redo it. Most reputable artisits will warranty their work.

All my tattoos aren’t bold after they healed

Tattoos do kind of fade and peel (scab) a little bit while they are healing. Those lines are super thin and she didn’t spend enough time on them.

All tattoos aren’t going to be as bright after they are first done and they all peel as part of the healing process. Nothing to worry about

The side of the hand sucks for tattoos because you’re always using your hands. My hands are covered and the ones that are on the sides are faded and have ink missing. Just have your artist go over it again and it will help with it staying if I could add a picture I would add someone of all mine

I agree with your skin not holding well. Unfortunately it happens. Now granted after time, all tatts fade but I'd speak to your artist and ask their advice. Example of fading, my 1st tattoo ever and my most recent one
