Can you get the epidural with scoliosis?

I opted out of receiving it due to the facts of risk and complications later down the line. I had my first child natural and will also with this one. I guess having my daughter natural was the reason we waited so long to have second. Lol good luck and prayers to everyone who gets epi.

My hospital had me call anesthesia and talk to them about my back issues. Consult with anesthesia ahead of time.

Yes. I have it. With me, once I was in L&D, anesthesia came in right away to assess my back/spinal area...he opted to place the line then instead of waiting but not administering the meds  until I was ready for it. In the beginning it took on one side...they had me lay on the opposite side to see if the meds would trickle over but that was a no go...nevertheless, he came back in and administered a different meds and all was good from then on...I had no complaints.

I have scoliosis and got the epi with my son and plan on getting it w this baby! They pricked me a couple times before they hit the right spot but I didn't feel it. Just the pinch when it actually went in. But no complications at all and easy labor.
