Do you think the flu shot is harmful to the baby?????

I was pressed to grt the flu shot. I was told if i didnt and i got the flu it could kill my baby. So i got it. Was just on facebook and saw this, read some comments and people were saying how they new people who got the flu shot did lose their child, and some had placenta issues. I want opinions from you guys, any personal experiences with the shot??? Kinda freaking out. 😩

I hate when people post bs. There's no link between her losing her baby and the flu shot. It's a coincidence. Sorry about her loss but it's not because of the flu shot.

The consensus of peer reviewed evidence about the flu shot during pregnancy is that it actuall reduced the risk of flu in pregnant women, and leads to better outcomes for the baby...fewer preterm births, fewer underweight babies and fewer miscarriages. Of the concern is preservatives, or thermisol, you can get a shot without that ingredient. :)

I do think that when awful things like this happen, people need to find something to blame  it on. In this case it was easy to blame the vaccine as she has recently received it. The outcome would've been the same even if she hadn't received it and she and her family would've found something else to blame.

Both my obgyns highly recommended the flu shot. There is one that is safe for pregnant women because if you get the flu you can risk loosing your baby!

I got the flu shot and I'll be 40 weeks tomorrow. It's also supposed to protect the baby for 6 months after he is born. My daughter and SO also got the flu shot. None of us have gotten sick from it or felt crappy after it in anyway. I fully believe in the flu shot and this everyone should get it. Not only to protect yourselves but to protect your families and everyone else you make contact with.

My doctor said if you hardly get sick and never had the flu shot or rarely get it to not get it. Just because it will have serious consequences for you and baby.
