- My favorite date to organize is a surprise roadtrip. The first time I did this, I reserved a camping spot at the nearest state park (where we had our first kiss a million years ago, when we were 14😅) and packed all of our camping gear while he was at work on Friday.

I texted his carpool buddy to organize the secret meetup. I had him take my husband to a gas station on the way home from work and stall. When I got there I blindfolded my husband and walked him out to the car.

This wasn't the first time I'd kidnapped and blindfolded my husband for a date, so he was excited but not too bothered by the suspense. His best guess ("final answer?" "Yes, final answer") was that we were going to a hockey game.

Pro tip: make sure you pack EVERYTHING your guy will need if you plan an overnight trip. The last thing you want to do is take him far away without his contact solution or a medication he has to take.

Pro tip 2.0: if you're driving him very far, keep in mind that radio stations will switch and announce where you are, and at some point he will have to pee and you'll need to walk him into the gas station blindfolded so that he doesn't figure out where you're taking him.

And trust me, you'll get really weird looks if you accidentally walk him into a door on your way out of the convenience store! And he will be mad! Speaking from experience 😂
