Pregnant and bleeding

So i am 6 weeks pregnant and just now while using the restroom i noticed my underwear had a significant brownish red blood stain on it. But it was not in my pee or when i wiped. Solely in my underwear. I can’t get to a doctor until next week so my question is... what could cause this? And is it potentially a miscarriage?
