How can I help my baby talk?

She’s almost a year and hasn’t said her first word yet. She says like dada and mama but nothing else. We talk a lot to her and explain everything we do. But still nothing. My first child was talking at 9 months. I know she’s not delayed by any means but I want to hear her lol. Any tips?

Read to baby and explain what you are doing. Repeat a lot of words over and over. Enunciate your words. Our daughter just said her first real word other than mama and dada. She said doggie which was her first 2 syllable word. All of my children have been very early talkers though.

My son isnt ver talkative either. He'll be 1 jan 26th. His first word was mama around 6mo, one night he was tired and was saying mama mamama and i swear he never said it again lol. Then couple months later started saying dada and thats all he says now
 Or makes and s or t sound but even then he doesn't talk much or even mimic people. Hes always been far ahead in physical developments, i figure hes more focused on those than anything.

My daughter is 11 months and babbles all the time. She does mama, dada, vava, lala etc, but definitely hasn’t said her first word. She was walking by the time she was 10 months old. A lot of my mom friends have told me that babies tend to do one before the other (mobility vs vocals) but very really both at the same time. I figure since she was an early walker she probably won’t be saying her first word before a year old. We do the same as you, talk to her a lot and narrate what we’re doing. I figure she’ll say her first word when she’s ready.
