Eat, play, sleep?

Does anyone else's LO not follow this during the day? My LO will only take a 45 minute nap in the morning. He does not want to sleep and it throws off the whole eat, play, sleep routine. He eats and goes directly to sleep at night ... So what do I do? Keep following his cues? Ahh

I won’t even try that schedule at this point.   Growth spurts, teething, holidays, and leaps throw it all off so it doesn’t seem worth the stress.  I just go with the flow of things and follow his cues.

Neither of my kids really followed that routine. My advice is don’t fight it, you’ll go insane trying to put a kid to sleep that doesn’t want to sleep, etc. Especially if they go down fairly easily at night, that’s the important sleep. My second is 7 weeks old and he has one long awake time like between 9-11 then every meal after that he pretty much falls asleep right after. But then again he’s up for 2 hours straight which is a long time all at once but that’s just what he does. My first kid I tried to force the routine and it was absolutely exhausting and not worth it.

I just wait for her cues. Our girl usually wakes up in the morning around 8am and then either takes a quick nap around 10 or takes her long 2 hours nap at that time. Depending on when her long nap was, she will take a couple of short cat naps in the afternoon, if she wants to. She will then show signs of being tired around 7:30, when I get her ready for bed. Sometimes it is even earlier than 7:30. She also eats a lot in the afternoon and I just feed her whenever she seems hungry. Right now she is still calling the shots when it comes to nap time and eating. I just play with her throughout the day.

I'm going through this currently. My little one has been awake since 630 this morning and he's maybe slept in total 30 mins he just wants to murderers allll dayyyy 😴😴😴
