Buttocks pain?

Question

Anyone else have pain in their buttocks? I keep having pain on the right side. It hurts pretty bad, just wondering if i'm the only one?

I caught a cold at about week 10 and sneezed so hard I thought I pulled a muscle. The doctor said it was sciatica...at week 14 still hurting a little. Heating pad helped.

Yea unfortunately this is probably sciatica and likely won’t go away until delivery. But the good news is that it should go right away!!! I had it with my first, got really bad about 5 months in. Massage helps, as long as you are comfortable with someone rubbing and basically doing deep tissue pressure on your butt! I ended up going to physical therapy weekly for some stretches/massage (which was mostly covered by insurance since it was a referral from my ob). That helped a lot. I wore a belly band under my clothes for added support too. They also make special pillows to sit on, which helps if you have a desk job. I was praying I wouldn’t get it again this time but am already feeling signs of it about a month earlier than with my first! 😭

Use a tennis ball or equivalent and sit on it and roll around on it to give yourself a butt massage.

I do. I’m 14 weeks 4 days..and I’ve had this pain in my right hip and upper butt cheek area. Doctor said it’s sciatic pain. It’s a normal part of pregnancy. Try a heating pad on it at night. That’s what i do nightly and it helps a lot. Doctor approved it so i feel comfortable doing it. And you can take Tylenol if needed.
