Genetic? Weird coincidence?

My daughter was born with a flat spot on her ear. My husband has the same thing on the same ear but his isn’t as bad. He said his was because of the way he was laying while his mom was pregnant with him. Now that our daughter has the same thing I’m not so sure. It didn’t happen with our first but did with our second.

I have a flat spot on my ear too, only on one ear and in that same spot your baby has it. My grandmother also has the same thing. 
Definitely think its genetic. There is nothing you can do to correct it on your own that I know of.

Genetics. My hubby looks like he has a small piece of skin missing on his ear like it got cut off 😂 and our son has it too. My son also has his one slightly crooked tooth and birth mark on his back and he has my same birthmark on his leg in the same spot

I have something similar to this. I never knew what it was from. But I want to get it fixed because my ear sticks out farther that the other one. Everyone that notices it calls it my "cute ear". Lol

This happened to my son when he was born. It ended up folding over but has a lump where it was flat. I have the same lump. I think it’s common
