How did you announce your pregnancy to your other kids?

My son has an idea but this week coming up I will confirm it. How did you tell your other kids? And how did they take the news? He's 8. So he's been a spoiled only child for a while now lol

I have two step boys, 10 and 7. They found out 3months ago that their mum is pregnant (unplanned), they now know what pregnancy all about - well enough information anyway 😁. They have known for years that their Dad and I want a baby and they don't stop asking. We're taking the fun approach in telling them...
1- treasure hunt around the house, they'll find Jelly Baby sweets at each clue.
2- bought them their favourite football team kit.
3- the last clue will take them to their football kit which will be hung up next to each other... and a baby grow!
I cannot wait to see their faces!!

I just told them straight up with a joyful smile on my face. 3 of them were so excited and happy but my 11 year old daughter (oldest) threw a fit. She was hysterically crying but she's ok now and rubs my belly and everything. (:

We bought my son (8) a tshirt that says 'I'm going to be a big brother' and gave it to him like a gift.

I gave my kids a poster board to hold that was blank, took their picture and said hang on let me pull it so you can see it. Mean while I was doodling on the picture. They were definitely shocked and surprised they will turn 15 and 10 right before baby brother is due

We told our kids on the way to dinner, but we didn't expect much. My daughter is 4 and my son will be 3 in a couple of weeks. My daughter was so upset until we told her she was going to have a sister. My son said he's not going to have another sister, he's going to have a little brother. Lol so not bad could have been worse.

We showed our 5 year old the sono..told him there's a baby in my belly...and only thing he could ask is "there's a baby in your belly? ... is it coming now??" We have it on video...wish I could share it
