Am I wrong? Lonely Christmas Overseas

So I just saw someone post something about not getting anything for Christmas and the same thing happened to me too :( 
My husband and I are both in the military and we make decent money. I’m always going out of my way to spoil him and to show I care whether it’s just bringing a pack of his favorite candy or buying him clothes... not once has he ever given me a gift.  He asked me to marry him without a ring... I bought him his but he never went through with mine. He has never done anything for my birthday or our anniversary or Valentine’s Day. This Christmas I bought him a “smart tv” flatscreen for his mancave. He didn’t get me anything not even a card. I know we both make the same amount of money. He asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I just asked for a candle... he didn’t get me anything.  He sure as hell bought himself stuff though..  Christmas eve he asked to borrow my Jeep to go to the store, so I thought maybe he got me something for Christmas but instead he just bought himself $100 worth of vape juice.. 🙁

I know Christmas isn’t all about gifts but he doesn’t just do this on Christmas. He does this 24/7. I’d be out of there. He sounds very selfish and unthoughtful.

My husbands the same. I've bought him big ticket things, or gave him the money for it. After two or three years I stopped. 
I've also stopped hoping to sleep in, or have something a little more special (like he makes supper or lunch) on my birthday or mother's Day.
Especially mother's Day, he literally told me he sees it as a day for his mom, not me. Between that and having to plan mother's Day for my side I've given up.
I know it's not helpful, but your not alone. I say just stop buying stuff for him, and spend that money on the stuff you would like him to buy you. It's better than fighting and arguing about it.

Have you ever expressed to him how important gift receiving is? Talk to him and let him know what it means to you.

I know my love language is gift giving and my husband’s isn’t but even then he at least buys me little things. 
I know Christmas isn’t all about gifts but idk seems pretty selfish to me that he doesn’t even buy you a little something

If he’s never bought you anything, I’m assuming he never bought you anything in the dating phase either. I’m sorry, but you agreed to marry the dude knowing that. You don’t get to complain later over something you already knew. Stop doing things for him and expecting things to be different than what they always were and has been. Talk to him. Chances are he’s not going to change and you’re just going to have to accept that or decide which one’s more important, receiving gifts or your marriage. Or maybe he just doesn’t see the importance of them and gift giving isn’t one of his love languages.

I’d be mad and would seriously have a conversation on how it makes you feel, obviously it’s not about gifts but for him to never have bought you anything would hurt especially when you buy for him, it’s the thought behind it that counts even if he bought your favourite chocolates or something
