1st IUI - Low Sperm Count - any success stories ?

Question

I had my 1st IUI yesterday. Post wash the sperm count was 6 million. My fertility specialist does back to back IUI’s, so I had another one this morning with a sperm count of 2 million. My DH also has morphology issues. Has anyone had success? He’s been on Fertilaid and other supplements to help and going for another SA next week. Advice and stories are welcome!

We did 3 IUI’s and our 3rd was successful. Our little guy is 7 months old! 
It’s important to know though that for all our IUI’s we always had sex on both days before the IUI, and the evening following the IUI. 
My husband had excellent sperm counts with no issues. I had low ovarian reserve which was what we believed was the cause of our secondary infertility. 
On the day of our 3rd IUI, my husband was sick and had been the last couple days. We still managed to DTD on all days though. So when his post wash was a little under 5 million, we were a little shocked because his had always been so high. 
Our RE said they like it to be at least 5 million or above, but it was still ok to proceed with the IUI. I’m very glad we did because that was the one that worked. But again, since we also had a lot of sex during the ovulation time. We don’t know if it was the natural sex or the IUI that worked.

They could never fully identify what was going on for my husband. He had repeat tests and every time his results came back with a problem but a different problem. I got pregnant on my 3rd round of IUI with 5 million post wash. This was the lowest number we had post wash. l asked the nurse if it was worth doing if the numbers kept going down and she told me “you only need one for this to work”. 
Hopefully your one was in there this month!

I just did my first IUI 6 days ago! My hubs has low motility and count. He’s been working with a  Reproductive Urologist to help his numbers. We’ve seen some progress. Our place didn’t give us any numbers (satellite office) so we aren’t sure what they were for the IUI. We baby danced on Tuesday and that was it, per his RU’s instruction. Then we baby danced again after IUI. Baby dust to you! Let’s keep in touch since we are cycle buddies!
