Yoga during your period?

Do you gals know if there's a problem in going to yoga classes while on your period?

The only issue I have is if my tampon isn't in just right, it can be mighty uncomfortable! But there are no health risks for it. Like someone else said, it will probably make you feel better!

Some believe you should not invert during menstruation...others don't. I don't think there has been any medical evidence against it. Just be kind to yourself if you're feeling fatigued or crampy or any other period symptoms.

It depends on the kinda of experiences you generally have during your period...
​If you have tons of cramps, the movement may help decrease those, but if you also feel completely wiped out, then you should stick to a very easy class or hold off. In general, most women should avoid any kind of heated yoga class during this time. But this is all very general information, and I would consult a holistic medical practitioner of you have more questions.
