How many onesies do I need?

I’m not due til June but looking ahead :) I really only want either zipper onesies or magnetic for convenience. I hate buttons more than anything lol. But those kinds are a lot more pricey! How many is good to start off with for the first 3 months? I’m buying newborn and 0-3 sizes.

You may not need any newborn. Our little boy skipped right over that size. Was only in 0-3 months for the first 6 wks. Now wears 3-6 months. We didn't have a ton of the 0-3 months - maybe around 12-15.

My baby lived in footie jammies for her first 3 months. She had about 4 pairs that we rotated since laundry was being done often. (Newborn, then 0-3.) We didn’t really use many onesies at that age just because she was so little and it seemed cold, but it was nice to have a couple on hand.

I need more than 6 or else I’m doing laundry so often and I don’t have time for that as a new mom. 
I’m not sure why zipper sleepers are preferred. I have one and hate it because it doesn’t zip well and it’s more of a pain. Totally prefer the snaps. Also when the zipper breaks the sleeper becomes useless and they tend to break fairly quickly

I initially brought 000 zero clothing footsies as doctors and everyone was convinced I was having a big baby. But when he was born he was tiny so I had my sister in law go out and grab 0000 and premie 00000 we had a combined about 7 of the two sizes and about 10 of the 000 . 
My son wore 0000 for about 3 months then we moved to 000 now his 6 months and we are using 00 and have about 6 of them we rotate around but his also wearing shorts and singlets now . ( we are in Australia it’s summer here now ) 😊

Depends if you have a baby that spits up a lot! My baby never spits up so we got by with five sleepers that she usually wore twice before we washed them. But my niece spits up a lot and so she goes through at least three outfits each day.
Also if you know anyone with older babies you might get some hand me downs. Or check consignment stores and second hand shops. Babies grow out of things so fast that there’s often a ton of good stuff. My baby is almost six months and I haven’t bought anything new yet.

We were on premises and didn’t even have any. I’d buy 2 just in case but leave the tags on them. But all you want and leave the tags in them if you’re worried
