Rational fear?

Question

So one day when I am older and about to give birth, I’m afraid of hemorrhaging or bleeding out. Is it a rational fear to have?

No, not rational at all.
Is there a reason you feel like this? Do you know someone this has happened to?

When I was pregnant with my first I was afraid I would die during childbirth 🤷🏻‍♀️. I think it’s a normal worry.

With today's medical advances, no, not a rational fear. Can it happen? Yes. So it's a realistic fear if you are currently pregnant and be sure to do your research on the drs you are using.

It’s very rational. It’s a real possibility. It happened to my friend and she had to have a blood transfusion. BUT it’s still a great chance at being saved and recovered since it would be happening at a hospital. Women still die during labor and even after. It is rational to have these fears.

I think it’s normal to worry that this will happen but but not normal if you’re obsessing over this fear. If you’re feeling that terrified then y’all to your doctor and get some numbers. You’d be surprised how absolutely rare this is and nothing for you to worry about.

It's normal to worry.  I was convinced years before i was pregnant that I would die giving birth.  Me and my 2 year old are both alive and well today.  They do blood type you ahead of time in case you need a transfusion so they are prepared for blood loss.  If and when you decide to get pregnant you will be fine!
