Why is my baby Yellow ?

I had my baby last Sunday and he is yellow, he was born a at 37 weeks and the doctor told me that but why? Has someone’s baby been the same way?

I would get him to the ER , it can be dangerous at a certain level . Both my babies had jaundice , but nothing concerning . They recommend breastmilk & lots of sunlight.

Strip da baby to just a diaper and get the baby into a sunny window or if possible outside for sunlight. Yellow baby means jaundice. You need to get her/him in the sunlight or a sunnywindow as much as possible.

Jaundice. My baby was jaundiced. His bilirubin levels were high but within the normal range so we were discharged on time. I put baby in sunlight daily & breastfed. It went away about 3 days later & pediatrician had no concerns at the follow up appt.

Both of my kids were jaundice, but just enough to not need anything more than a little sunlight on their feet.  We did follow up blood work and never ended up back in the hospital or with a bili light.  My assumption is your doctor is monitoring it and isn’t concerned, but definitely ask questions if they have not clarified.
