Theres a reason they set these standards and the doctors tell you to wait 6 weeks. If it was safe to do so at 5 weeks then doctors would only say to wait 5 weeks... so I would wait the full 6 weeks if I were you and you should be cleared by your doctor.

My midwife told me I shouldn’t  wear tampons until my period came back and especially not during the first 6 weeks. I HATE wearing pads but.. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I guess they say no for a reason!
