So I am white and my husband is full Portuguese so there’s a VERY obvious color difference between us. We are having boy/girl twins and we are naming them very Portuguese names and some of the (garbage) people in my family keep making snide comments about the names. Our boy is going to be Cristiano Luis and our daughter will be Camila Fatima Eliana. I’m just super sick and tired of the remarks. Also, my very southern grandmother made the comment “You better hope they come out white because they will end up in trouble with the law if they don’t.” Like.. how do you say something like that? I just understand it. I really really hope both babies come out with my husbands skin tone. I love it and I think it’s so beautiful.

For reference this is the color difference and that’s in winter. My husband gets way gets way darker in the summer and I just turn red.

Side note: Don’t mind my f*cked up fingers. My ex used to dislocate/break them when he got mad at me and the my never healed properly.
