Preventing stretch marks?

Any advice on how to prevent stretch marks on my belly? I read somewhere about taking collagen and elastin supplements. Is this safe for the baby and has it worked for anyone? Thank you!

It's totally genetic. My first I used creams and vitamin e oil. My second I didn't use any cause I was too busy wih my first who was still a baby and I didn't get stretch marks with either. My third same things. Well I have small ones around my hips and sides but nothing crazy at all I think I'm the only one who really sees them. Anyways, the lotion and e oils feels good and helps with the itching but really your skins elasticity is predetermined.

I don't mean to be negative but stretch marks are genetic. You can lighten them or "prevent" how many but if you're destined to get them, you will. Embrace them!

I did research online and technically there are no proven solutions out there that aid in stretch mark reduction. Check out some online medical websites. I do just lotion everyday which is supposed to help keep your hydration in. That's just what I've researched anyway.

Genetic but Sanctuary spa makes a stretch mark oil and a body butter in there "mum to be" line that is really nice :)

I agree it's genetic. I didn't have any throughout my pregnancy, they showed up after I delivered. I'm using Palmer's oil to fade them.
