Did you get backpain after epidural? Please comment how long it lasted?

Nope, not at all. I didn’t even feel my epidural and I didn’t have any pain associated with it. I’m a fan of the epidural. My labor and everything was 100% pain free and I felt nothing.

Ive had 5 spinal taps which basically same thing and i have what i call phantom pain feeling the pressure of the needle, and also cant have anyone tpuch skin where it went in. Hurts alot

Severe back pain shortly after the birth of my first son. Sometimes it was so bad that I was on the floor, curled up in a ball, crying my eyes out cuz it hurt so bad. No back pain at all before or during my pregnancy. I can’t say for sure it was the epidural though, sometimes it just happens after having a baby. My son is almost 2 and I still have really bad back pain, can’t stand for more than 30 mins without pain. I just gave birth to my second son, I tried for a natural birth. I got to 6cm no problem and literally no pain, they broke my water and I progressed from a 6 to a 10 in 30 mins. In that time I *tried* to get the epidural but it was basically useless, it was inserted and everything but was NOT effective for pain, I felt EVERYTHING. In the end I was really upset I couldn’t hold out for that 30 mins (had no idea I’d progress that fast after water breaking... thought I’d be in that pain for hours 😂) because I really was trying to avoid another epidural in case it made my back pain worse. 4 months pp and still have back issues. I did have two, though. The first one failed so the anesthesiologist put another one in, so that may be part of it.

Still have it at 16 months pp. My sister still does and her daughter is 11 years old.

Yes. My son was born in 2010, and i still have severe lower back pain from getting an epidural with him.

I had 3 epidurals in a year. One after a medical abortion and induction and two with my second baby who kept wanting to come early. A year and a half later, my tailbone gets super stiff. Horrible pain.

I had back pain near where my epidural was put in and also around my tailbone for about 5-6 weeks and then it went away completely

I still get a sharp pain every now and then . I’m 3.5 months pp
My friend said I should go get it checked out bc it’s not normal to have these pains....
