Zofran?

Has anyone taken zofran while pregnant?  Our little family all has the stomach flu. I have an appointment tomorrow as I’m worried about our little bean and thought I’d seen people take it, however; I’m only 4w3d.

Not to be a Debbie downer but if you have the stomach bug, you want to puke to get the bacteria/virus out of your body or it will last longer.

I’m nearly 20 weeks pregnant and have been prescribed Zofran since I was 11 weeks. However, studies show that Zofran isn’t the safest during you first trimester. Your OB will most likely recommend you try taking B6 and Unisom first. If that still doesn’t work then Zofran will become an option.

I’ve been on it since 6 weeks and I’m almost 16 weeks now. It’s the only thing that helps keep food and liquids down for me!

Out of all the studies on zofran, one suggested that it was linked to cleft palate and heart defect. No other studies have found this. It’s probably safe. I took it for a few weeks during my first trimester because I was so ill.

From what I was told, Zofran isn’t safe until the second trimester. And you shouldn’t take anything without talking to your doctor

If the nausea isn't from being preggers, most the time you just have to suffer through. But zofran helps immensely with morning sickness. I take it still at 19w. Good luck!!
