Anyone using nursery water to mix formula??

Question

I feel horrible because I thought I could use the water straight out of the jug to mix the formula with then I read the label that says it needed to be boiled which I ended up doing but feel horrible for not reading the label in the first place...I had been mixing the formula with the water as is and am afraid for little man...but he looks as healthy as can be! Thinking of boiling tap water and using that instead.

We just use regular bottles drinking water. We don’t boil it or anything. Just pour it room temp into a bottle and add the formula.

I use a tommee tippee prep machine which adds the hot shot of water and then filtered water for the rest.
Or I use fresh boiled water if I'm going out.
This is just what I do mind... 
I think it needs to be over a certain temperature to potentially kill off bacteria but if baby is OK and putting on weight?
