Why am I spotting and not on my period?

My period was due Tuesday but it started yesterday on Wednesday’s night and it was very light. I would assumed it’s just the beginning of AF so seeing a few spotting is okay and super normal. I didn’t wear a pad to sleep. Unfortunately, there was nothing this morning when I woke up which is strangely odd because my period is regular and I get medium to heavy flow to light towards the end of my period.

I did had a few unprotected sex and he did not came in me and I know there’s precum.

I don’t know if my spotting is related to or is implantation bleeding cos I’m currently wearing a pad and there’s no flow or stain at all. If I wiped after I peed, there’s only a little light brown stain. After multiple wipes, there’s hardly none, and I’m so dry down there. Usually on my period and after a few wipe, there would still be blood coming out —like normally it would if I were to have a regular flow...

What should I do? I hope I’m not pregnant, and I don’t think I am but with this going on, it’s confusing me. How long should I wait to test? Should I waste money to buy a test tho since I’m not even experiencing any pregnancy symptoms either. Anything would help just no rude comments. Thank you!

UPDATE: after an hour, my period came. Like, I was pushing my lower abdomen and things came outta down there... so it’s definitely my period :)
