My boyfriend and I planned a Disney vacation literally 3 years in advance. We have made payments worth thousands of dollars on it that we can’t get a refund for. We have told our families about our vacation plans and the date, posted about it countless times on Facebook with a countdown/date etc. Well my sister decided yesterday to schedule her wedding right in the middle of our vacation, knowing we have been planning this for years with payment plan. My sister said to cancel the vacation because this is more important, and said at least my husband already had that week off vacation now so we can go the wedding. This is my sisters 4th wedding as she has had 3 divorces. We are not close at all.

I told her we couldn’t make it because we have been planning something both financially and mentally for 3 years now (that she knew about) but that we could celebrate her marriage when we get back. She said if we don’t attend the wedding she will never speak to me again. If we go to the wedding we will be out thousands of dollars and will likely not have another chance to go to Disney world. Should I go to the wedding?
