Contemplating breastfeeding...
TMI pic
I'd really like to breastfeed (exclusively pump) but know nothing about it really. We got a really nice pump and accessories. But I had my nipples pierced for about 8 months, I took them out when I was about 9 weeks (currently 35w2d), and they still have weird puss like stuff coming out of the holes (they haven't healed shut yet). I'm worried about the baby ingesting that because the thought of it is disgusting to me. I'm not sure if I should just formula feed and take the medication to have my milk dry up if it is offered to me, or if the breastfeeding is okay to do still. I'd like to do it because everyone says breastmilk is so much better, you lose the weight faster and it is the less expensive route (I wouldn't get approved for WIC or any kind of assistance for formula). Any advice or tips would be appreciated, as I am a first time mother and clueless. Thank you in advance!
