For some reason this came off as I don’t take him, that’s not the case I just don’t like going!!

My doctors office has two separate waiting rooms for sick and well patients.  If yours doesn’t have that you could ask to wait in the exam room so you’re not around any sick patients. 
I’ve always heard that “dogs and dirt” help kids build their immune systems. I take that to mean that a very sterile environment doesn’t give them a chance to build up any immunity so I don’t stress about keeping my house immaculate. I don’t think that means we should want our babies exposed to things like the flu!

Germs do help build a babies immune system, and I think wellness visits are important, but I understand wanting to avoid the germs. After When my LO had a fever one evening my doctor had me monitor but wanted me to avoid the hospital because of germs unless necessary. We had our wellness visit for 4 months last week and I came down with a 48 hour bug Wednesday which my SO and some family members I saw on Tuesday got, however my son has not gotten sick. My son is breastfed and they get antibodies through the milk, it’s not impossible to get sick but it does provide a lot of protection, so if you breast feed that may help alleviate some of your worry.

I get both sides but if you dont want to take him, then don't! Dr offices usually have sick germs 😷

My pediatrician office has 2 separate waiting rooms sick and well. They also take babies under 1yr right into the back if there is more then 1 person in the waiting room.
