Does your baby cry when someone else holds them?

My LO is 4 months old and everytime we go out and someone holds her (family, friends) she cries until myself or my husband holds her. She’s perfectly fine at home, of course, and she’s a little better if people come to my house. Pediatrician said it’s common in babies who EBF but I want to break her out of this! Any advice on what to do?

My son is very dependent on the situation. If the person who is holding him is calm and collected, they can still coo over him but not over the top, he is perfectly fine and happy with being held by people even if he doesn’t know them. However if the person who is holding him is making a lot of noise or fussing over him to much he will start to cry.

Same! My in laws get right in her face and make all sorts of noise and excitement as soon as they see her and it always freaks her out and she cries. Especially when I walk her down and say ‘she’s still waking up’ and in hint hint be calm and quiet... but nope every time they make her cry with their over the top sounds

My baby is this way too. I constantly worry it’s because I am a SAHM and he’s only around me all day

If my baby was being held by someone to long and she sees me she will start to fuss until I get her.

My baby doesn’t usually fuss when someone else holds him, he usually smiles at everyone, but if something upsets him then only myself or my husband can comfort him. He’s also EBF but he doesn’t prefer me over my husband.

A couple of weeks ago my baby was doing this with people when held. It didn't last that long . Maybe a week or two where she would cry immediately when other people held her. Lol but thankfully not anymore

My son is EBF and doesn’t do this, but he’s been around people at least twice a week since he was born and I’ve always let a lot of people hold him. I would say that they probably just need to get used to other people, but I’m sure personality has something to do with it we well.
