I dont think I will ever be okay thinking about my kid having sex but it is going to happen. I might as well offer protection for them all.

Teen as in what age exactly? I wouldn’t be happy if my 13 year old was having sex as thats too young

I would rather have a child who understands consent and can tell me when they are ready than a child who fears sex and the concept of virginity. I was 14 when I had sex for the first time and I was terrified to tell my Mom, I felt ashamed but at the time it felt like the right thing to do. I attended a school where our only sexual education was abstinence and diagrams of what everything looked like. We weren’t really taught about birth control or anything that is a reality about sex and were typically shamed for having questions. I believe that there is an appropriate age but if they want to do it they are going to do it anyway.

I want my kid to explore their sexuality in a safe way and the teenage years is when that’s going to happen. I just hate thinking about it!!

No because I don’t want my kid bringing in a bunch of random girls in my house. 
If it’s only one then hey here’s a box of condoms ,and we are going to talk about safe sex, getting tested regularly and preventing pregnancy.

For now I will say if they're 16 and older (preferably 18+) and protected then I'm okay but right now my children are still teeny babies so my opinion may change when the time comes. I just don't want to shun my children for having sex whether I agree or not, I want them smart, safe and protected and confident enough to talk to me about anything sex related so I can help them through it.

I wouldn't be happy but at the same time if they want to have sex.. then they will just go ahead.. which is even worse.. so if I guided her/him.. tell her/him to not feel pressured.. explain no means no and not to be bullied into sex or push sex on the other person..  also take her/him to the sexual health clinic and got contraption then I know I did all I could.. I've prepared them.

Not something I love but I’m pretty realistic about this sort of thing. 100% hope it would always be protected though. I will do everything I can to help make that a reality for my kids.
