What do I do?

Question

So I’ve had the flu all week. And I went to the doctor and I’ve been taking medicine. I told the doctor I’m 13 weeks along. On Thursday I could feel some small kicks from the baby. But I haven’t felt any since then. Should I be worried the medicine harmed the baby? What can I do to make sure the baby is ok?

Answer

Very normal for movements to be few and far between at that stage. The baby is still super tiny and has plenty of space to move that doesn't touch the outside wall of your uterus. Most people dont even feel anything that early. I never have.

13 weeks is pretty early to feel much of anything in the first place. What medicine are you taking? Is it something your doctor prescribed specifically? A doctor would not give you anything that could harm your baby. It’s better to take the meds and get yourself healthy than to avoid all medications. The flu is no joke, especially while pregnant. It needs to be treated.
