12 week enhanced check for deformities?

Question

I've heard so many people tell me that at this enhanced 12 week scan they can tell me the sex of the baby... Has anyone been told at this scan? We're so excited to find out the sex, I don't know is I can wait another 6 weeks, well I guess we'll find out tomorrow at the scan, if they can or not. Praying for a baby girl, but a healthy baby is perfect. :)

The tech would have been more than likely able to tell me but the baby barely cooperated for the test she was doing. She said some babies are fully developed by 12 weeks some are not. All depend but my baby was stubborn, that's ok tho very happy to see my bean growing, moving and waving. :)

My cousin went in at 16-17 weeks and the last was not able to tell what she was having. It looked like a girl, but the lady didn't wanna give her false information. It's usually better to wait until 18-20 weeks because then the babies will be fully developed down there!

A good ultrasound tech would be able to tell at 12 weeks most likely. They all usually look like boys but it depends on the degree/angle. Perpendicular means boy and pointing downish would be girl. I would think they probably don't tell you though just because there is a high degree of error and telling the sex is not the point of the ultrasound.. You could always pay for an elective ultrasound at 14 weeks to find out the sex

They have a blood test at 12 weeks that test for deformations and can tell you the sex. I haven't heard anything about a scan that can do it
