Faint lines

I know a faint means you’re not currently ovulating. I’m new to opk testing and was wondering if I’ll always have a second line no matter what. Right now I have irregular periods and I’m not sure if it means I’m not ovulating at all. Or if it means I will be in the near future since I got a faint line. Very confused here. Have you ever gotten a compeltely blank space and only had one line?
