Miscarriage - now what?

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but I’m not sure what to do next.

I stated miscarrying Thursday night, I’m still bleeding, but not sure what to do next? Do I need to see a dr / get any kind of scans done or can I assume once I finish bleeding that’s it?

For background I moved up to Brisbane from Sydney 8 months ago. I don’t have a GP here as haven’t needed one yet. I’ve been seeing a fertility specialist but he’s on leave until 28 January. I was 4w5d pregnant at time of miscarriage so pretty early on. I’d gone for a blood test that morning which indicated my hcg had dropped right down and the nurse called to give me the news and advised I would likely start bleeding within the next day or so. I had 2 big bleeds Thursday night and Friday afternoon with clots and tissue, a lot of light bleeding continuously in between and also some heavier bleeds both yesterday and today. The nurse just told me to call my FS rooms tomorrow to book in to see the specialist when he’s back in 3 weeks but that’s all she really said.

I’m just wondering if a loss this early on generally just passes on its own or if I should be getting some kind of check up to make sure everything has passed? If so I don’t really want to leave it 3 weeks til my FS is back.

Any advice would be appreciated.
