Mom’s with Toddlers?

How many words does/did your 2 child say at 2? Mine is just really starting to talk, babbles non-stop - just left his 2 year check up (he turned 2 on 12/22) and was told most kids his age say 50-100 words, that just sounds crazy to me 🤔 he was referred to speech therapy which I will 100% be taking him to, but I’m just curious about tour experience. Yes, I Know. Every child is different.

My son will be 2 next week and I think he’s most definitely close if not over that amount of words. He’s a chatterbox. I’ve never actually counted, but we have “conversations” where he is able to get his point across. 
But just like you said, every baby is different and develops at their own rate. Any type of extra help is great, even if it isn’t really needed!

My lo is 2.5 and she really just started talking full force. 
As far as how many words, I have no clue. I’m pleased she can tell me her basic needs and for now that’s good enough for me. 
We sing, do flash cards, and I encourage her to talk. I never did baby talk and when she babbles I ask her politely to use words. 
Your lil man will come around. 
If you still aren’t satisfied you could try a session of therapy.

I honestly dont know anymore how many words mine says she asks questions and says full sentences. Sometimes it turns into jibberish half way through the sentence but it still makes sense lol. Every kid is different . My nephew didnt say much except mama dada and a couple other until he was 3 then it all started pouring out and now hes 5 he wont shut up lmao

My daughter just turned two and a half and is very advanced. She has full conversations and sings full songs clear as day. My nephew on the other hand is almost 3 and a half and still has difficulty saying things clearly! Don’t stress, all kids are different and have their own strengths and areas they struggle with!

Every kid is different. My niece Sophie was reading out loud at 1.5 years. She’s 12 now, national honor society,are it to nationals for the spelling bee. While her sister is 10, she had a hard time, maya would have to make a w and turn the page upside down and then write the rest and struggles with math big time and still does. Ever kid is different.

My son is 18 months I’d say he says about 50 words and he’s good at mimicking stuff we say to him as well. But I’m told my son is ahead of most boys, I guess boys like sound effects more then words.

My 2 year old is for sure a chatterbox. Shes one of the younger ones in her daycare class so I think she’s picking a lot of things up from the other kids

My 2 1/2 year old strap daughter JUST started talking after she had tubes put in her ears around the first week of December. She used to not say anything at all and she can sing Wheels On The Bus now.

My daughter is almost 3 and has a speech delay and was like your son at age 2. She has been in speech therapy about 9 months now and is up to 10 words and does some sign language but communicates other ways. I would definitely start the therapy if your doc thinks it will help. The earlier they get help, the faster they will catch up.

Thanks Everyone. No questions asked I will definitely be taking him for speech therapy, already scheduled the appointment, because it’s not going to hurt anything! It’s just one of those mom guilt things 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ I feel like I’ve failed him! But I was more or less just curious of other’s experiences.
