Should I give a twin my sons crib & get him a toddler bed?

My son will be 18 months when my twins come. Should I just buy a toddler bed for my son and give a twin my sons current crib (& 1 new crib for other twin) 
Or should I just keep him in the crib and buy 2
New cribs for the twins.
My son is strong & smart and I wouldn’t be surprised if he learns how to climb out of the crib soon!

I kept my son 25 mo in his crib and got two decent priced new matching cribs for my twins. I believe like 100$ each? I plan to keep my two year old in a crib as long as humanly possible 😂 I don’t have to to be chasing him down in the middle of the night or fighting me at bedtime. But that’s just us! He loves his bed and has never even attempted to climb out.

Does his current crib convert into a toddler bed? If it does, I’d buy two new ones and keep him in the crib as long as possible (my 18 month old never slept in the crib ever). If it doesn’t, then I guess getting a toddler bed wouldn’t hurt.

My little is 20 months she has been in her own bed since 16 months (just a double mattress on the ground). I think go by your child. She wasn't getting good sleep in her crib because she moved so much and hitting the bars would wake her. It's nice she is already moved before her siblings make their debut, so that's one thing off our chest.
