Doing it silently while someone else is sleeping in the room, while it may seem like a good option, is kind of problematic because the sleeping person didn’t consent to the sexual event happening in the room. Everyone in a space should consent to the sex that is happening, so you shouldn’t have sex or masturbate when someone else in the room doesn’t consent to it happening. 
This is not to say you can’t masturbate in college! Many of my friends do and I think it’s a normal thing to do! But it’s probably best to do it while your roommate is out, or you can sexile them. Sexiling for masturbation is ok and a better option than doing it while they sleep.

Nope. I didn’t masturbate until after marriage. Never had an interest until after marriage and now I do it daily and I watch porn.
