How long was my labor??

Question

When does ‘labor’ technically start? Or when saying you were in labor for (x) hours, do you count or from the time your water breaks or?
*especially those induced* 
My son is three so it’s been a minute but I’ve always wondered! 
They put cervidil in me on 7/11 at night. Contractions started in the middle of the night. Doctor didn’t break my water until around 8:30 am on 7/12. I had my son at 7:33pm but I technically only pushed for an hour! So when would I consider the start of labor?

My first was 14 hr labor- from the start of contractions. 20 min push time. My 2nd I was induced- oxytocin started at 8am, they broke my water at 10am and o had my son at 12:19pm- so 4 hr labor. 5 min push time.

Everyone i know starts from that first real contraction 🤷🏽‍♀️ i was in labor for 37 hours

I count my 36 hours of labor from the moment I realized the contractions were real and I started timing them up until my son was born. Woke up to contractions at 530 am. Lost my mucus plug around 7am and started timing contractions.

My induction was started just after 8am, started pushing at 6pm, delivered at 11:40pm.
