In most states it is not up to the victim. The state presses charges even if you don’t. A domestic violence crime is considered a crime against the state. ￼You can say you don’t want to cooperate anymore or openly support your abuser￼, but it doesn’t guarantee anything. I would highly recommend not doing this. 
If you lied about the domestic violence and that’s why you want to drop charges￼￼, then charges could be brought against you as well.
