Sweeps in the UK

Morning all!

I’m a FTM living in the UK currently 37 weeks pregnant. I have my midwife appointment on the 16th Jan for my 38 weeks and I was just wondering whether there are any mummies or expecting mummies on here from the UK that could tell me when did your midwife check your cervix for dilation and thinning out??

My midwife up till now hasn’t checked, all she’s told me was that baby girl was 1/5 engaged at 34 weeks.

If I were to ask would they check?? Really would like to know if there is any progression. 😩

Also when would they be able to do a sweep? X
