My doctor said what?😳

Wtf!!!, so I'm 6 weeks postpartum. And my dr told me not to make an oppiontment for a check up. She said "You don't need one because your not 21". It shouldn't matter!!, I just had a baby!!. uhhhh excuse me...but isn't that important?. Idk what to do here, should I go ahead and make an appointment anyways?.

I had my first at 16 & they told me it was mandatory for a 6 week appointment. Go ahead & make one

I'd make an appointment anyways. I had my first two babies at 18 & 20, and received a postpartum check-up both times. I've never heard of age influencing whether or not you go in for a postpartum appt.

Yes, they don't need to do a Pap smear on you, but they should be checking for postpartum depression and talking to you about birth control options.

Yes call back and make an appt. They are supposed to check you out just like a gyno appt for a well check.  If the practice has more than one doctor there, just ask to see someone else.
