Safe heating options during power ourage with baby?

Preparing for a great Canadian ice storm with possible wide spread power outages. I worry about using something like a propane heater in the house with our baby. Suggestions please??

Something like a buddy heater would be an ok choice in an emergency. Otherwise finding a generator would be the best option to keep power and heat.

Some propane heaters give off too much CO2 and aren't really safe for indoor spaces.
